Our current understanding of the law re CPC for outdoor instructors is that its not clear if you need it or not. As it is very case specific re job title, job role, miles covered & how / what clients are paying for. We are finding that most employers are insisting that employees & contractors have the CPC as well as the licence. As the costs of adding a CPC are not great I would highly recommend adding the extra modules to your course.
1, PSV Mod 1a Theory test (100 questions 85% pass mark)
2, PSV Mod 1b Hazard perception test (19 videos with 20 hazards 65% pass mark)
3, PSV Mod 3 practical driving test (fewer than 15 driver faults & no serious or dangerous faults)
If you want to drive a D1 for “work” reasons you would need to add the following tests.
4, PSV Mod 2 Case studies (pass mark 40/50)
5, PSV Mod 4 Practical demonstration (pass mark 80/100 plus you must get at least 15/20 in each of the 5 areas)
